■Land resource  Anhui Province is endowed with fertile land and great biodiversity. There are 5.728 million hectares of arable land, suitable for the growth of multiple crops. ■Water resource  The annual average water reserve of the whole province is 71.6 billion cubic meters. It has set up a complete water conservancy system such as flood prevention, water log control, and irrigation.

■Animal & Floral resources  Anhui Province is covered with woodland of 3.6 million hectares, with great floral varieties that include some 300 kinds of woody plants and 2,100 kinds of herbal plants. Besides, there are also 500 kinds of vertebrate (fish excluded) in the province, including 91 species under strict state protection, such as the most precious Chinese alligator and Chinese river dolphin.

■Mineral resources There are 138 kinds of minerals which have been already found, and the reserves of 111 kinds have been verified. Among 45 kinds of important mineral resources, Anhui has 32 kinds, the reserves of which 12 rank the top 10 in the whole country. In addition, coal, iron, copper, sulphur, and cement limestone are regarded as the five superior minerals; calcite, alunite, attapulgite, bentonite are regarded as unique minerals.
